The short answer
A turnkey interior estimate depends on the work included, its quantities and specifications, the condition of your home and who supplies and fits each item. Compare those details before comparing totals. The number of bedrooms alone cannot give you a reliable price.
1. Define the work before asking “how much?”
Turnkey describes how the agreed work is coordinated. It does not automatically include every item you can see in an inspiration photo. One estimate may cover fitted interiors in a new flat; another may include demolition, plumbing repairs, bathrooms and new finishes in an older home.
For a Gandhinagar home, start with a room list. Mark what must change, what you would like to add and what you can keep. Give each team the same list and the same current photographs. A quote based on different assumptions is not a useful comparison.
There is no single Gandhinagar rate quoted in this guide. A price becomes useful after the property, quantities, materials and responsibilities are checked.
2. Ask what area or quantity each price uses
A flat’s total area is not the measured quantity for every item. A wardrobe may be measured by its front area, flooring by the floor being worked on and a kitchen by its cabinet units or another stated method. Ask the contractor to name the method and show the measurement.
List wall and base cabinets separately where necessary. Drawers, internal organisers, tall units, handles and lighting can change a kitchen estimate even when its outer size remains the same. Compare quantities and descriptions, not a rate beside the word “kitchen”.
| Item | Useful detail in the estimate |
|---|---|
| Fitted storage | Measured size, internal layout, doors and hardware quantities |
| Kitchen | Cabinet list, worktop, sink, appliances and fitting responsibilities |
| Paint and surfaces | Area included, surface repairs, preparation and finish |
| Connected repairs | Work to open, repair, test and make good the affected area |
3. Similar-looking finishes can have different specifications
Ask for the board type, product, grade and thickness for the cabinet body, shutters, shelves and back. Name the finish, edge treatment, hinge and drawer models. “Premium material” is a description, not a specification you can check on delivery.
Treat a manufacturer’s warranty as product-specific. CenturyPly’s Club Prime page, for example, has its own product and registration terms. It does not establish a warranty for every board or for an entire renovation.
View samples before ordering. If the selected shade or fitting is unavailable, confirm the replacement, price difference and lead time before accepting a substitute.

4. What you keep can change the work behind the finish
Keeping sound floors and the kitchen’s service positions can reduce the work list. Moving a sink, adding sockets or opening an old bathroom may require connected repairs that are absent from a furniture-only estimate. Ask what can be checked at the first visit and what remains uncertain until old work is opened.
Do not cover unresolved damp or a leak with new cabinetry. Have the relevant trade assess the cause and include the agreed repair, testing and making-good work. Keep any uncertain repair allowance visible instead of assuming every hidden problem is included.

5. Compare the cost at your property, with fitting included
Delivery, unloading, carrying items to the floor, protecting existing finishes, disposal and final touch-ups may need separate lines. Ask how taxes and any applicable building charges are shown. If you buy an appliance yourself, name who receives it, checks it and installs it.
IKEA India’s kitchen installation guidance separates preparation, final utility positions and supplementary work from fitting the kitchen. This is a useful example of why responsibilities must be explicit; its commercial terms do not describe our service.
- Name who removes old work and takes waste away.
- Confirm safe material storage, lift use and permitted work access.
- Separate owner-supplied items from contractor-supplied items.
- Record testing, cleaning and the final walkthrough in the agreed scope.

6. A useful comparison: the same kitchen, two work lists
Illustrative example: Plan A retains the worktop, sink location and sound cabinets, replacing selected shutters and fittings. Plan B replaces the cabinet bodies and worktop, changes the sink position and adds power points. The two totals describe different projects, even in the same room.
Ask both teams to quote the same plan first. Then request optional changes as separate additions or deductions. You can choose a simpler suitable finish or postpone a decorative unit without losing track of the core work.
This is a scope example, not a completed-project claim, price promise or Gandhinagar market average.
7. Keep the estimate current when decisions change
Set a budget range for the agreed work and discuss a separate reserve for unresolved site conditions. The amount depends on the property and what is still unknown; avoid treating one percentage as correct for every new or old home.
For a change, record the old item, new item, cost adjustment and schedule effect before work proceeds. Agree payment stages against the written work and retain bills, approvals and the handover record.
8. Prepare a brief for your Gandhinagar home
Share your exact address, floor, possession or occupancy status, room photographs and priority list. For a new flat in Kudasan, Raisan, Randesan or Sargasan, record what the builder already provided. For a sector or Vavol home, describe existing conditions rather than assuming repairs are necessary because of the locality.
The free seven-page planner below gives you a room budget sheet, specification prompts and two-quote comparison spaces. Use the same completed brief when requesting estimates.
